Full description
Don’t rush on this trip to Chiang Rai, the home to many of Thailand’s most popular attractions. Spend the night on a guided tour of the Golden Triangle, White Temple, Black House Museum to name a few.
Day 1:
Start your trip from Chiang Mai and travel towards the Mae Khachan Hot Springs. Have your first stop there and dip your feet in the relaxing water.
Have a traditional Thai lunch before heading to your next attraction, the White Temple. Gaze at its monumental structure and fascinating exterior consisting of solely white. Learn about its one of a kind design and construction then move towards your next stop.
End your day on a high note by exploring the museum dedicated to the Thai artist Thawan Duchanee, the Black House Museum. Spend the night at a hotel in Chiang Rai and get ready for the next day of fun, history and culture.
Day 2:
After filling up on some delicious breakfast, travel from your hotel to your first destination of the day. Visit the Choui Fong Tea Plantation which cultivates traditional teas famous for their highest quality around the globe.
Next, see the fascinating Blue Temple which will amaze you with its stunning blue exterior with gold details. It is accompanied by a massive white Buddha statue that really sets the scene.
Then, head over to Chiang Sean to stand between three significant borders at the Mekong River. Stand in the Golden Triangle where Thailand, Laos and Myanmar meet. See the amazing views as you stare off at the river.
Finally, have a quick lunch before having your last stop at the Opium Museum.
